a. Mac Uni Open Day BBQ with Macquarie Park Rotary

• September 11^th (9am-3pm)

• Call Jack to confirm location
• Profits will be shared and our part may go to admin or donation to Pakistan relief.

b. Relay for Life

• 25-26th September (4pm – 10am) at Macquarie Uni Sports Fields
• Team leader: Vivian
• $15 till the 11^th, after the 11^th will be $20 to register - http://relay.cancercouncil.com.au/2010/macquarie_uni__ryde_2010/Rotaract-MQ/
• Bring tents, food etc. – to be organised next meeting
• Get friends and family to sponsor you online.

6. Projects

a. Tutoring programme - Guest speaker Ruth from Equity Outreach

• Groups projects target: refugees, low income families, those with disabilities etc.
• Refugee students mentoring programme to begin beginning of next year.
  • 40-50 students required
  • ~2hrs/wk, mainly after school
  • Potential to have one school which Rotaract members go to.
• Chatswood High School will be Rotaract run as the University will not be affiliated.
• Marsden High School programme will be expanded and formalised in the future.
• PACE – may have other links.
• Our club can promote but will not commit.

7. Professional Development/Leadership

a. RYLA

• Applications now open till end of September
• Week long all expenses paid leadership training.
• In mid January for 7 days.
• Contact Sujen for the application form – professional@rotaractmq.org

b. Board members need to attend training day this Sunday but other members are encouraged to go
