The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) was established in 1971 and is held annually for young people displaying leadership qualities. It is a week long leadership development program designed to teach and enhance leadership skills in young people between the ages 18-25. The program consists of various motivational speakers, interactive role playing scenarios and team building exercises. It is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and expand your network. Many past RYLArians have claimed it to be the best week of their life where they make lifelong friends and really grow as a person. The program is held in January every year and RYLArians are sponsored by a local Rotary club to attend. Past RYLArians also have the opportunity to attend again as a facilitator.
