This event was an awareness event for the flooding that has been devastating Pakistan for the past few years - flooding that affects 20 million people, often people who already have very little. To see this highlighted, Misha, Ricky and Rory attended the screening of the short documentary "Washed Away" by Saliha Wazirzada, in which displaced Pakistani families are given a voice and an opportunity to share their experiences and plead with Australians.
The documentary was excellent and the speakers from SOS Pakistan, APHEDA and Endeavour Australia were admirable and captivating. The Pakistani singers, musicians and poets were also amazingly good.
